Kalyumet offers family oriented activities every weekend from May 1st through October 31st. 

Stop by the community campfire every Saturday for some fresh popped popcorn. If the weather's willing and nothing else is in the kettle, the popcorn is popping.

Open House
Scrapbooking Fun

Join us as we kick-off another great season of camping. All campers & visitors receive a coupon for a free night of camping during 2009. Calling all scrap bookers - join your fellow scrappers for a weekend of scrapbooking fun. Work as early or late as you want without putting your supplies away.

Mother’s Day Dinner Theater

Treat Mom to dinner and a night at the theater without leaving the campground. Join Clarion Community Theater as they present the hilarious comedy "Harvey". Advance tickets required for this live theater production. Call or CLICK HERE  for more information.

Memorial Day Weekend*

Pool opens for the season. Challenge the record holders & get your name and picture posted on the Kalyumet Wall of Fame. Join us for a great weekend of family fun featuring bingo, glow games, popcorn & more!

Geocaching - Discover our Hidden Treasures

Each month a new cache will be hidden in the campground or around Cook Forest. For each cache you find, you'll get a chance to win the GPS to be drawn in October.

Do the Cooking Weekend

Surprise Dad with a Father's Day campout. Challenge him in the minnow races Saturday afternoon. Treat him to sandwiches & shortcake Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Tylersburg Charge Strawberry Social. Come to the Hot Dog Roast Saturday night & join us Sunday for a Pancake Breakfast.

Enjoy Wings & Things Saturday night. We supply the wings; you supply the things (Celery, dipping sauces, veggies to deep fry, your favorite appetizer.) This evening of sampling appetizers sure is yummy!

Join us for a week of edutainment. Each day we will feature an activity that is both educational and entertaining. Experiments highlighting math, physics, biology and chemistry will show how science impacts our everyday life in a fun & exciting way.

Join us as we celebrate Independence Day and nature. Don't miss Skye's Spirit Wildlife program on wildlife rehabilitation. Electric Light Parade, Bingo, Games, Popcorn, T-Shirt Art (bring a dark colored t-shirt) & more.  Local fireworks, festivals & concerts.

Blazing Saddles

Bring your covered wagon to Kalyumet City for some Old West fun & mischief. Help Sheriff Mark keep the cowboy outlaws under control. Don’t get caught unprepared for the squirt gun shoot-out.

Yard Sale

Cool off with a free Ice Cream Sundae on Saturday afternoon. Turn your junk into someone else's treasure. Bring your treasures and set up a table at our multi-family yard sale.

Outlast the opposition as you compete in physical, mental and sometimes messy challenges. May the best team win!

King size fun is in store for kids of all ages. Kid’s carnival, fire truck ride & cake with Smokey Bear.

This weekend everyone has a chance to join in the fun and games. Be a contestant on the Price is Right or Jeopardy, then join in a Farkle or Miniature Golf Tournament. Earn points for participating and try to be the lucky contestant on Deal or No Deal.

Check out the sidecars at the Keystone Family Sidecar Rally.

Puzzle Weekend

Read the clues, follow the trail, solve the puzzles. Have fun solving all of the mystery puzzles. Don't forget to bring your GPS.

Learn about life during the Civil War. Tour an encampment, fire a musket, listen to the roar of cannon fire and witness a night fire demonstration.

Labor Day Weekend*
Chocolate Lovers Celebration 

Join us for this special event for chocolate lovers! Have fun making chocolate ice cream in a bag, playing chocolate games & candy bar bingo. Don't miss the chocolate fountain at our Sunday evening social. Be sure to bring your favorite chocolate dessert or items to dip in the chocolate fountain. Join Jungle Terry & Friends for a hands-on animal program that is both educational and fun.

Holly Jolly Christmas
Holiday Illumination

Help us light the night with a spectacular luminary display throughout the campground. Visit from Santa, Sl-hay ride, holiday crafts and Christmas scavenger hunt.

Pumpkin Festival**
Haunted Trick or Treating
Pet Costume Parade

Pumpkin fun for everyone - pumpkin toss, pumpkin painting and more. Dress your pet in their best costume for the pet costume parade. The kids will love trick or treating twice this weekend.  In the afternoon there will be site to site trick or treating. Then, after-dark the older kids will enjoy indoor haunted trick or treating. This weekend is sure to be a scream for the kids and a blast for the adults. 

OCTOBER ACTIVITIES

October is a great month to see nature’s splendor. 
Enjoy all the spectacular colors of Cook Forest.
